45 minutes west of Montreal, Quebec is La Piniere, a pine forest which features the Base de Plein Air des Cèdres. Beautifully groomed ski trails for both classic and skating cross several ravines. This video was shot on January 29, 2009.

My family really enjoyed the trails at Five Fields Farm in Bridgton. My kids would rate the trails high on their list of great hills for speed but would not recommend the trails for beginners. You have to have some control in skis to venture on the hilly terrain, although there are looping trails that are fairly level.
