CNISSF Nordic cross country ski race hosted by the Truckee High School ski team. This race takes place at Surprise Stadium at Truckee High but had to be moved this year to Auburn Ski Club due to lack of snow. The boy’s champion this year was Russell kennedy and the Girl’s champion was Bernie Nelson. Each skier races a time-trial and then the top 32 boy and girl finishers move on to 4 heats of 8 racers. The top 2 finishers in each of these heats then move on to the finals. Ski teams represented this year at the Sprints were Truckee, North Lake Tahoe, South Lake Tahoe, Mammoth, Biship, Nevada Union, and Colfax. Thanks for Watching – Coach Halvorsen

Madison, Wisconsin’s third annual Capitol Square Sprints reached its competitive peak Sunday afternoon during the elite supertour cross-country ski races. Modeled on a World Cup course at Dusseldorf, Germany, the spectator-friendly course afforded an almost complete view of the entire race, except for a couple of brief blind spots. From the corner of Main and Carroll streets, this clip of the women’s supertour A championship presents an indication of the technical prowess required by the demanding race course.
